In lieu of the School’s competitively fought athletics-based Sports Day on the last Tuesday of term, the whole School community was encouraged between them to run, cycle, walk or swim 1,521 miles, the distance from Wells to Olympia where the Olympic Games originated.
Despite the damp weather, the response from pupils, staff and parents was brilliant, with 524 participants covering 1,624 miles!
Wells Director of Sport, Tom Webley said, “A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part in our virtual sports day today in what has truly been a fantastic whole school community event!” A video of the event can be found here.
