The Parents and Friends' Association is a registered charity (1196517) run by a group of volunteer parents.

Project Bids
We support the School's staff, houses, pupils and departments, by providing financial backing for projects or new equipment that are not covered by normal School budgets.
Support
Our team, along with our brilliant volunteers, run many events during the school year. This allows us to raise funds to support the projects that otherwise would not get funded!
Uniform Shop 
Many parents use the second-hand shop to buy and sell school uniforms. The shop is open during term times. More details can be found here.
Buying a secondhand uniform
We have a shop and second hand uniforms can be bought at any time during the school year
The PFA Second Hand Uniform Shop does not have fixed opening hours.
Please email secondhanduniform@wells-cathedral-school.com and the shop manager will aim to respond within two school days between Monday - Friday during term time. The shop manager can check our stock for you and arrange a time to open.
In your email, please let us know what items you need, and in what size.
We have a privacy screen so that students can try on items before purchase. If you are attending in person, we accept card and mobile payments. For urgent needs for Day pupils we can issue with a payment link once we have an email confirming parental/guardian permission for them to buy items before they visit the shop.
Selling your uniform
Please ensure that items are of good quality - Ask yourself: "Would I buy this?"
To sell your uniform you will have to attach a label so we know who to pay.
Please note: Grey trousers and boys' white shirts will no longer be accepted for sale in the Second Hand Uniform Shop. They are readily available new at very low prices. We are also unable to accept navy skirts as we would be unable to sell them due to the upcoming change from September 2026.

Complete the details in carefully and include your name and email. If you are donating all proceeds to the PFA, please tick the box at bottom of label. During term time you can email secondhanduniform@wells-cathedral-school.com to arrange drop off.
We will remove anything from display that is below the School standard and recycle it.
The PFA will retain 40% of the sale price. If you would like to donate 100% of the sale price, please tick the box on each label.
Once per term the PFA volunteers will email the seller to inform them that items have been sold from the second hand uniform shop.
Please note: The WCS PFA Second Hand Uniform Shop is run by volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to provide this service for fellow parents.
The WCS Parents and Friends’ Association AGM will be held on Thursday 6th November at 7.30pm in the Drawing Room, Cedars House, Wells Cathedral School.
All WCS parents, guardians and friends are welcome to attend.
