Wells Cathedral School Foundation
The Annual Fund aims to provide additional revenue which enhances the School in ways which cannot be achieved through fee income alone. This year our Annual Fund is focusing on sport within the School and enhancing the provision which we offer as part of our ‘sport for all’ philosophy.

We have established a fund to help keep Alan and Sheila's vision for Wells Cathedral School alive. Alan Quilter (Headmaster from 1964 to 1986) forged two significant developments at Wells Cathedral School, which have propelled its success over the following generations.
A legacy is one of the simplest and most flexible ways of making your gift, and may enable you to support Wells Cathedral School in a way in which you may not be able to do during your lifetime. The tax benefits of a legacy gift to a charity are considerable – all such bequests can be made free fr
Every year up to 80% of our pupils receive financial support to enable them to attend the school. Through our bursary funding we try to support those wishing to study music and mathematics as specialists, choristers, aspiring athletes and academic all-rounders.
On joining Wells in year 7, I started playing the three main sports with very little sporting experience. Now, I have the privilege to represent the first team in all three. At Wells everyone is encouraged to get involved and I love the enthusiastic sporting environment that allows development without fear of mistakes. I've created and strengthened many friendships through the team games as well as being offered endless opportunities. Sport has played a huge part of my life during my time at Wells and I've learnt so many new applicable skills shaping me into the person I am today. Amelia Lower Sixth
