Buying a secondhand uniform

We now have a shop and second hand uniforms can be bought at any time of the school year
The PFA secondhand uniform shop does not have fixed opening hours. If you need uniform items, we will open it up for you to view and purchase, or collect.

Please email secondhanduniform@wells-cathedral-school.com and the shop manager will aim to respond within one school day between Monday - Friday during term time. The shop manager can check our stock for you and arrange a time to open.

In your email, please let us know what items you need, and in what size.
We have a privacy screen so that students can try on items before purchase. If you are attending in person, we accept card and mobile payments. Day pupils can be charged via their school accounts if we have an email confirming parental/guardian permission for them to buy items before they visit the shop.

Selling your uniform

To sell your uniform you will have to attach a label so we know who to pay. You can find the labels on this link.
NOTE:The link It will ask to make a copy of the document so that you can type in your details and print it out.

Fill these details in carefully, and include your name and email. If you are donating all proceeds to the PFA, please tick the box at bottom of label.

Items must be of good quality – Ask yourself: "Would I buy this?".

During term time you can email secondhanduniform@wells-cathedral-school.com to arrange drop off.

We will remove anything from display that is below the School standard and recycle it.

Pricing – we would advise that items of excellent quality should be priced around half of the original cost, at most. If you are keen to sell everything, then price lower! You can find suggested pricing on this link.

Prices should be in multiples of 50p.

The PFA will retain 40% of the sale price. If you would like to donate 100% of the sale price, please tick the box on each label.

The PFA volunteers will email the seller to inform them that items have been sold from the second hand uniform shop.

The PFA will provide you with a cheque that can be collected from Main Reception. The cheques will remain there for 45 days and sellers should collect them within this time frame. After 45 days the PFA shall, for accounting reasons, be entitled to destroy any cheques which have not been collected and, the seller’s proceeds will revert back to the PFA and be deemed to be a donation to the PFA. If the person selling cannot collect their cheque in person, we will do our best to post the cheque.
