Welcome to the Class of 2026!

We were delighted to welcome the Upper Sixth Class of 2026 into the Wellensian Association at last week's Leavers' Lunch, marking the beginning of their lifelong connection with Wells Cathedral School.

Each new Old Wellensian received a leavers' token and a commemorative yearbook to celebrate their time at the School and this important milestone.

The afternoon also featured inspiring reflections from two Old Wellensians. David Buckley (OW 1994) spoke about the lasting value of the connections made at Wells, sharing how relationships formed through the School and community have opened doors and created opportunities throughout his career. He encouraged the leavers to stay in touch with one another and with the School, reminding them that a simple conversation or email can lead to unexpected opportunities.

Eva Donoghue (OW 2022) reflected fondly on her own experience at Wells and encouraged the newest members of the Association to embrace the journey ahead with an open mind. She spoke about the importance of remaining curious, being open to new experiences and allowing your own path to develop in ways you may not yet expect.

As our newest Old Wellensians embark on their next chapter, we look forward to welcoming them back for future events and following their achievements in the years to come. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We wish you every success and hope you'll always feel part of the Wells community.
