The sun shone on the 2025 Summer Reunion on 21st June, and we were delighted to welcome over 80 of you to this special occasion.
Old Wellensians joined us from across the UK and further afield, including:
Prior to dinner 30 OWs took part in tours of the School conducted by some of our current Lower Sixth pupils and during the evening we were treated to wonderful musical performances by current pupils: Sunny who played Au Matin by Tournier on the harp and Zuzannah, who sang a rousing rendition of The Girl in 14G.
Christopher Stott, OW 1969, one of the longest-serving Old Wellensians in attendance, led us in grace. Melissa Potter, OW 1985, kicked the evening off with a warm Wellensian welcome as she celebrated her 40th Reunion with the rest of her Year Group and in her role as Trustee of the Wells Cathedral School Foundation. We also took a moment to thank George Bunting, OW 1970, for over 15 years of dedicated service as Chairman to the Wellensian Association.
We were also delighted to welcome Alwyn and Anne Gillen back to School for bubbles on Cedars Lawn.
A huge thank you also goes to those who rallied the troops from their Year Groups including Becky Stott, OW 2005, and Sam Betley, OW 2015. A special mention goes to Jo and Ed Chalmers, a mother and son duo, celebrating their 50th and 20th reunions respectively.
We look forward to another memorable reunion on Cedars Lawn next year, as well as many more events in the months to come.
