OW Jamie Tweed (2015) has been awarded a prestigious scholarship from the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO).
He is one of just ten musicians from across the world to have been awarded the new LSO Conservatoire Scholarship. Jamie will receive support to help him fully focus on his postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music. He will also benefit from coaching and mentoring from the LSO's own renowned musicians and ongoing career advice.
Jamie's musical journey began at seven when his parents were gifted an old Boosey & Hawkes trombone and orgnaised lessons with Alan Hutt - a distinguished teacher who has performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), The Beetles, Pink Floyd and various other iconic acts.
Jamie says ... "I was always a kid looking for the next thing to do". It looks like he's doing quite well! If you would like to see more of what Jamie is up to, click here
