OW Joe Arnold (2008) returned to Wells to deliver masterclasses and workshops to current trombone pupils alongside Trinity Laban students and some children from local schools.
In the magnificent surroundings of Quilter Hall, Joe worked on orchestral repertoire, music for trombone ensemble and solo performance.
Alongside his job in the opera, Joe has freelanced and toured extensively with all of the London orchestras and others around the U.K. as well as many West End performances on Les Mis and Phantom of the Opera and chamber tours with Septura and Studio 5.
He has been Professor of Bass Trombone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich London for 4 years, and this is his first project with the Trinity Trombone Collective. This is a group mainly composed of trombone students on the classical course at Trinity, with some guests from the jazz course. Last year they traveled to New York with tutor Carol Jarvis, to attend masterclasses and concerts with Joe Alessi at the Juilliard
