Esteemed Media Composer and Old Wellensian, Sam Wedgwood (1998) recently treated current A-Level Music Technology pupils to a host of 1:1 sessions, offering a range of creative and technical feedback on their recent work.
Now based in Australia, Sam's previous studies at Wells led him to being offered a scholarship to study Trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music. As a multi-talented musician, he then developed a career writing Media Music, regularly recording at some of the world's leading recording studios including London's Abbey Road Studios. As well as music across television productions including The Great British Bake Off, The Antiques RoadShow, Countryfile and BBC World News, Sam also has music published on the Associated Board's exam piano syllabus.
The Music Technology Department are grateful to Sam for his generous time and expertise, offering a broad range of expert feedback on pupil's creative work, as well as inspiring career advice.
