A message from Jody Wells, Head of Prep:
I am writing to share some incredibly sad news with you all. We have just learned of the passing of the Prep School’s former Head, Nick Wilson.
He was at home, as was his wish, with Jane, Clare and David at his side.
Nick (and Jane) led the Junior School as it was then between 1995 & 2011 and did so with calm authority and grace alongside an unwavering care for the children. Nick was truly respected by all lucky enough to work with and under him. He was also the Head who gave me my first ever teaching job but that should not be held against him.
His leadership left a lasting mark on the history of our school, as well as on the lives of many pupils, families, and staff who have been part of the Wells community.
I know this news will be deeply upsetting for many of you who have known him over the years.
