The School will be holding a Remembrance Service in the Cathedral at 6.30pm on Sunday 9 November. Mr Martin Ashton (Deputy Head Pastoral) will be preaching, the Chapel Choir will be singing, poems will be read in English, German and French, and the Old Wellensian Roll of Honour will be read out. All Prep and Senior School parents, OWs, staff and pupils are warmly welcome to attend, including day pupils if they wish. Pupils should attend in School Uniform, please.
In addition, the Choristers alongside the School's Chamber Choir and other WCS musicians will be part of a devotional performance of Maurice Durufle's Requiem at 3.00pm in the Cathedral on Remembrance Sunday (9 November), culminating in the now familiar and much appreciated ‘poppy drop’. All are welcome. And the CCF will be part of the City of Wells Remembrance commemoration and parade that morning.
